Amy & Robert, 23rd May 2015, Marquee @ Wheathampstead, Hertfordshire

On the 23rd May we headed to a marquee in the gardens of a stunning private residence in Wheathampstead, Hertfordshire to perform at Amy and Robert’s Wedding Day. Amy and Robert had booked us to perform as the Acoustic Duo during their Drinks Reception and then as the 4 Piece Live Band for the night time celebrations.

Matt and I arrived to find ourselves in one of the loveliest gardens we have ever seen. With beautiful vibrant tulips, lovely nooks and private corners to get away from it all, we could have easily gotten lost in this wonderland! It was obvious to see why Amy and Rob had been keen to set up a marquee there and be surrounded with such tranquillity...until the night time at least!

We performed a beautiful variety of tracks to set the tone for their Drinks Reception as they arrived from their ceremony in the local Church. We played beautiful tracks like ‘Songbird’ by Eva Cassidy, ‘Thinking Out Loud’ by Ed Sheeran and ‘All Of Me’ by John Legend.

When the evening arrived, we performed Amy and Robert’s First Dance of ‘A Thousand Years’ by Christina Perri. It was a beautiful moment as they took to the floor next to the 6ft letters of A & R (see picture).

WEDDING TIP: If you are planning on learning a routine for your First Dance then please get in touch as we may be able to go into the recording studio and record a version of the track for a small charge, usually around £40. This will allow you to practice and polish your routine to our version of the track, and also means you will have a beautiful musical keepsake from your special day.

The First Dance signals the end of the formal part of the day so we were then able to hit the floor with dance floor favourites such as ABBA, The Beatles, Taylor Swift and Kings Of Leon taking them through to the midnight hour!

It was a fantastic day and since then we have received this extensive thank you note from Amy.  We’d like to say a massive congratulations to Amy and Robert and wish them all the very best for your lives together.
