Taylormade Coronavirus (Covid-19) Statement - 31st May 2020
As the UK is taking its first tentative steps out of lockdown, we wanted to provide another update and further reassurance for those of you with weddings later in 2020.
We have now helped all of our couples with weddings up to 31st July 2020 to postpone/cancel their big day. We know that these cancellations and postponements have been absolutely devastating to our Brides and Grooms, and they have been absolutely heartbreaking for us and our business too.
We are constantly monitoring the situation as it develops, liaising with venues, and keeping up to date with the latest government guidelines. It’s not been easy and the situation seems to be changing weekly. Sadly, due to the nature of the virus, the government has been unable to provide much clarity on when large gatherings will be able to go ahead.
However, there may be a little light appearing at the end of the tunnel. We understand that the government is currently advising that small weddings may be given the green light from July. So, if your wedding is after 31st July 2020 then we are cautiously becoming hopeful that it could go ahead as planned.
So, based on this new government guidance, we have updated our Covid-19 policy accordingly:
For those who have their weddings booked within the next 2 months (on a rolling basis), we are giving our Brides & Grooms the opportunity to postpone, at no additional charge, to a comparable* 2021 date. *Dependent On Taylormade’s Availability
If the date is further than 2 months away, then the booking is secure until we reach this 2-month window and receive further guidance from the government.
Please note: As soon as we are within the 2-month window, it's really important that you contact us with your intended plans/dates. By not checking our availability, you may find we are unavailable which would lead to a lot of heartache for both yourselves and us.
Those of us in the wedding industry are doing our absolute best to be as flexible as we can and make things as easy as possible during this awful time. We ask that our couples also try to take a flexible approach to any postponement dates as the situation has created a lot of extra demand for 2021 weddings and many couples are having to postpone to weekdays/Sundays or even to a different time of year. By being as flexible as possible it's likely that the vast majority of your suppliers will be available for your new date and your wedding day will be all the sweeter when it finally comes around.
Please do keep us up to date with your thoughts and plans, we are always happy to help or give advice where we can.
Take care,
Carley, Matt, and the boys.
