Julie and Ian Bishop's autumn wedding at Blackwell Grange, Warwickshire

Massive congratulations to the lovely Julie and Ian, the brand new Mr and Mrs Bishop, who were married at the breathtaking Blackwell Grange Wedding Venue in Shipston On Stour, Warwickshire on 11th November 2017.

Julie and Ian had come along to one of our 'Public Showcases' before deciding whether to go ahead and book us for their special day. However, they were so happy with our performances, they booked on the spot and the planning began in earnest for the big day!

Leading up to the day, Julie and Ian had been in touch to let us know that there was a sound limiter set to 85dB at the venue and wondered whether this would be a problem. After almost 10 years of weddings and events we've dealt with sound limiters many, many times and this has given us the experience and know how to work easily in these circumstances. Despite the relatively low limit of 85dB, (most wedding venues are set around 92dB), we knew we could make it work and assured Julie and Ian this would not be a problem. 

When we arrived on the night we used all that experience and know how to set up perfectly to suit the sound limiter and, as expected, we had an incredible night and didn't trip the sound limiter once! It was a really fantastic night, with a lot of fun and laughter, and we feel so privileged to have been a part of it.

Julie and Ian - thank you so much for choosing us to be a part of your special day, it was an absolute pleasure to play for you all. We wish you all the very best for their lives together and long days filled with laughter and sunshine. 

WEDDING TIP: Please do not panic if you find out your chosen wedding venue has a sound limiter, this is becoming more and more the norm, especially as lots of wedding venues are in areas of outstanding natural beauty. Just let us know as soon as you can and that will allow us plenty of time to plan ahead and make sure everything is ready to go on the night. As long as your wedding venue has a sound limiter of 85dB and above then we are able to manage this with ease and the majority of sound limiters are set around 92dB which is plenty.

2018 UPDATE: We are absolutely delighted to announce that Taylormade Acoustic Duo and Live Band are now a recommended and approved supplier to the gorgeous Blackwell Grange Wedding Venue in the Warwickshire Cotswolds. This absolutely stunning venue has invested in a state of the art sound ceiling for live music, just perfect for having a live band at your wedding!
