Taylormade Coronavirus (Covid-19) Statement - 15th August 2020

Taylormade are very happy to learn that as of 15th August 2020, small wedding ceremonies and wedding receptions with up to 30 people have been given the green light to finally go ahead as long as they are held in a ‘Covid Secure’ environment and strict social distancing measures are in place.

We are also absolutely thrilled to say that we are now able to sing and perform both indoors and outdoors as long as we work to the government’s ‘Performing Arts Guidance’. We have examined this guidance in full and are confident and happy to return to live performance in a safe and secure way with social distancing measures in place.

Whilst the above is extremely positive news, sadly it is not the return to ‘normal weddings' that many of us had hoped for. Evening receptions with music and dancing are still banned and even after weeks of lobbying by the wedding industry and couples alike, a roadmap for the continued easing of restrictions has still not been supplied. This means that we are still left in the dark as to when larger numbers of guests will be allowed or evening receptions with music and dancing will be able to take place. Couples and the wedding industry as a whole once again find ourselves in limbo.

We are, however, hopeful that these guidelines will continue to be eased over the coming weeks and months, with larger numbers permitted and evening celebrations able to go ahead with as little disruption as possible. We will be constantly monitoring the situation as it develops, liaising with venues, and keeping up to date with the latest government guidelines so please keep an eye on this page, as well as our social media for the latest updates.

As it stands, all of our couples who had weddings booked until the 1st October 2020 have now been able to postpone their date. However, for those with weddings after this date, we are hoping to go ahead as planned and have updated our Covid-19 policy in light of the new government advice, as follows:

For couples with Acoustic Duo only bookings, we hope that your wedding will still be able to go ahead.

For couples with packages that include our Live Band or DJ for your evening reception, then please get in touch. We can work together to try to find the best options for your day and are happy to help you reschedule to a date where evening receptions are expected to be allowed and with fewer restrictions in place.

Please note: It's really important that you contact us with your intended plans/dates. By not checking our availability, you may find we are unavailable which would lead to a lot of heartache for both yourselves and us.

We hope that our couples are managing to stay positive during this unsettling time and that the handful of remaining weddings in 2020 will be able to go ahead as planned. It's been an incredibly uncertain time for us all and the day when we can finally celebrate with you as you say 'I do' will be the most magical day ever.
